Please join us this Sunday, November 19, for the Transgender Day of
Remembrance. Hosted by the Trans Experience and Advocacy Association
(TEAA), we will meet at The Wall for a candlelight vigil at 5:30pm. A
poetry reading will follow in Weeks Lounge at 6:15pm, with hot cider and
tea. Anyone is welcome to read poetry, prose, a song, or anything fitting
the past week and day.
The Trans Day of Remembrance is an international day of observance to read
the names and mourn the lives of trans people who have died due to
anti-trans violence this year. This is an important event to hold on
campus, to mourn but also to raise awareness to our campus of how crucial
it is to protect trans lives.
Please support your peers and students on this important occasion.
