*Wednesday, October 25 is the last day to drop a (full semester) class**. *
However, you need to remain full-time (3 units or more) unless permission
is obtained through the Dean of Students office. (See my youcanbook.me below
for available times, or call.) If dropping a course puts you below
full-time, you should also meet with someone in the Financial Aid office to
make sure that dropping below full-time will not have a negative impact on
your financial aid.
To drop a class, you need to pick up an add/drop card from the Registrar's
office. They are located on a table outside of the Registrar's office (in
Moore Lounge in Pearsons) so it can be picked up whether or not the office
is open (and Pearsons is always open). You are to take the drop card, have
one of your academic advisors sign the card, the faculty member of the
class (or classes) sign it, YOU (the student) sign it, and then it is to be
returned to the Registrar's office by 4 pm on Wednesday, October 25th.
Note that if you are attempting to add a second mod course (including
second mod special projects), the add card needs to be signed and into the
Registrar's office by Friday.
Students who have extenuating circumstances that occur after the drop
deadline that necessitates dropping a course or courses will need to
petition the Academic Performance Committee (and provide evidence of
extenuating circumstances, an academic advisor writing in support of the
late drop, and a note from the faculty member(s)).
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
