*Does the idea of helping improve birth outcomes excite you? *
Then you might be interested in training to become a doula!
*Doulas are pregnancy assistants who help people giving birth by supporting
and advocating for them during the childbirth event*.
*On Sept. 22-24, and again on Sept. 29, 30 and Oct. 1*, The Empowerment and
Care Center, a local partner, is conducting its annual doula training here
on campus. *The cost of participation is $1,000, and participants must
attend all sessions (each Friday session is virtual)*. There are *5
reserved spots for Beloit College students*, so contact me immediately if
you want to join or have questions.

The presence of a doula in the delivery room has been shown to greatly
reduce infant and maternal complications from childbirth, leading to better
health outcomes and lower healthcare costs. Reserve your spot for this
important training today!
